Chereau is testing hydrogen-based refrigeration technology in order to develop more sustainable transport refrigeration. In the face of few hydrogen stations for trucks it proposes to integrate a production and distribution station at each industrial site producing green hydrogen locally using photovoltaic panels on roofs along with an electrolyser and a storage tank.
Industrial buildings with large roof areas are ideal for this making it possible to overcome the short- and medium-term limitations of the lack of any hydrogen charing network.
